YOUR ROLE

As an Electronics Engineer specializing in Alternative Component Testing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity and reliability of telecommunications products by addressing component obsolescence challenges. Working at the intersection of hardware engineering and telecommunications technology, you'll apply your expertise to identify, test, and qualify replacement electronic components for critical systems.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Collaborating with hardware engineering teams to identify suitable alternative electronic components for obsolete parts in telecommunications products, focusing on Copper DSL and Fiber technologies
• Conducting comprehensive electronic characterization tests to verify the compatibility and performance of replacement components, including memories, line drivers, and other critical electronic parts
• Performing qualification testing according to established protocols to ensure new electronic components meet all technical requirements and specifications
• Documenting test results meticulously and preparing detailed qualification reports to support engineering decisions
• Supporting the maintenance of telecommunications equipment with a focus on electronic component obsolescence management and lifecycle extension

YOUR PROFILE

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering with a focus on electronic component validation and testing
• Demonstrated expertise with board validation techniques and electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications electronic components, particularly in DSL and Fiber technologies
• Experience with memory components (DRAM) qualification and line drivers testing methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
